Skoda DSG AT transmission

I suppose that the same engine oil is that who lubricates the DSG AT?
Is that DSG AT tough or delicate? They said to my sister who wants to purchase e new Skoda 1.9 TDI that is ir VERY delicate and that is MUST be attended by the official service.
In my case, my car has 51.000 km (about 31700 miles) and I would like to do maintenance myself, as much as possible.
Do you have any links to that kind of hints?
Skoda cars came into Chile about 30 years ago, but stopped about 20 years ago. Now we may say it is an unknown car here, and people is just starting to know it.
