It's dedicated transmission oil.
The owner's manual most likely has the transmission oil change interval listed - as well as other service intervals.
On my Volvo it's 140000km for the transmission oil , though VW probably has a different interval. AFAIK, it's not even being checked other than a visual external check for leaks.

It's a serious piece of engineering, so when work needs to be done on it, I'd take it to someone who really knows how to work on them.
OTOH, what maintenance does a manual clutch require ?
Next to nothing if it isn't badly treated.
And the DSG is programmed to treat the clutch OK ...

As far as the regular things go (brakepads, filters, oil, ...) that shouldn't be a problem, but for the more advanced stuff (Fuel injection, DPF if it's fitted, electronics) I'd have the dealer do the job if it develops a problem in these areas.

Mechanically they are rebodied and rebadged VW's.
Just about all mechanical parts are common, proven VW-group parts, but not always the very latest generation (which is good from a reliability PoV).
Over here Skoda have gained a reputation of being more reliable (!) than VW itself
