One of the issues I try to address in addition to low drag is stability. For a motorcycle having some down force in the front is important so I have been looking at shapes with a profile of inverted wings and a modest angle of attack. I am still at the sketching stage but I still have a fluid mechanics text to help refine things. The tendency is to use a low leading edge. On the highway the nose will need to be at the common height of bumbers and a sight line from the rider's eye to the pavement has to be acceptable.
I have been frustrated in putting pictures on EM since my camera produces jpeg files too large to post. Please use my e-mail at wgconnor@verizon.net
