This thread made me look at my MPG data for the last two years (thanks Ecomodder fuel log spreadsheet function!).

In 2009 I maintained a 43.63 MPG for the year :

In 2010 I dropped to 43.06 :

The big hit was a portion of time where I commuted to work. However, technically we were taking a car off the road and two people were in the car, so the "Eco-MPG" could be interpreted as being "twice" the actual MPG.

When I play data-games with the 2010 MPG, I see that it is plausible that I could have achieved a 44 MPG average for the year. Because of this I think I can achieve my goal of 44 MPG in 2011.
