 Yes, you've turned the corner, and probably upped your fuel economy by 5-10 mph in the process. I'm a reformed leadfoot myself. I used to get 26 mpg in my Sentra SE-R Spec V. Then I took up hypermiling, and averaged 38 mpg for the last 20,000 miles in it before I gave it to my daughter.
