I have seen somewhere pre-fabricated sheets of carbon fibre designed to be workable (i thought CFRP was a b-----d to cut?). Not designed to be structural, but better performing than ABS plastic. Now I see this I wish I saved the link. Some plastics suppliers and race engineering suppliers might be able to get you CFRP sheets.
