Well, I tried my modified PP+G-Eon (Power Pulse and Glide with Engine on ... Pigeon ?
) technique a bit more often in traffic, and it doesn't look like other road users are liking it much, nor are they really cooperating.
I either hinder them and then run away from them when they're tailing me.
Or I end up far too close to their rear bumper for comfort when they're ahead of me.
It seems I'll have to polish my technique a bit more to avoid these situations.
But the PP+G-Eon is working rather well
I used to burn more fuel in the city and on the back roads, then get back to a more respectable fuel economy on the motorway.
PP+G-Eon has reversed that situation !
Average fuel consumption is now going down in the city and on the back roads, while constant speed motorway driving is destroying the nice numbers
Friday, when starting with a still lukewarm engine, I was at 3.7L/100km (63.5 mpg) using PP+G-Eon for around 10km.
Then I had to get onto the motorway and ruined it all
Trouble is, the new DPF is acting up again.
It's been burning off the soot 11 times in only 2200 km (1367 miles) !
