I am particularly frustrated with the Prius on this: my Mom's 2007 has the GPS and the touch screen, and when you pull the A/C fuse to prevent it from coming on in defrost mode (full heat on the defroster is absolutely required during freezing rain / ice storms!) -- the entire HVAC system is completely disabled!

This totally rots... I think you can manually shut off the A/C, but remembering to do this and the fact that the touch screen toggles over to the default screen a few seconds after you stop using it, makes this much harder than it should be.
