On truck you can mill a place/room for the balancing weigth. That piece of plactic does not weigth so much that it would have any difference to steering wheel. All drivers dont even balance their truck wheels, mostly the front wheels are only being balanced. Other solution is to use weights which can be glued with "stickers" or what they are called in english. So the U-groove is free from weigths.
