wagon back
nitro,if you've got a friend or family member with a receiver-hitch mount cargo carrier you could borrow that would fit your wagon, you could mock up a cardboard and duct tape boat-tail extension for proof of concept mpg test and if you liked what the on-board mpg readout or gas station numbers looked like, you could commit to a lasting structure.600mm of additional length to the wagon, with the proper tapering would get you in the game.
The 'Aerodynamic-Streamlining-Template Part-C' can be searched for here at the Aero forum and it will walk you through the design.
The front of your car is 'clean' enough that I think the tail would make an immediate 'showing.'
If you'll load some dummy weight into the wagon and back it down a driveway until the rear wheels are in the gutter, this will give you a sense of how much angle clearance you'll need for the bottom of the tail so as not to strike the ground.
