it is entrenched, too many colleagues with windows specific doodads. I use linux whenever I can, but I can't change the other folks to use linux friendly tools and switching takes time, so I usually stay in @#$*#@&%@ windows and wait for the next crash or virus. Linux is relegated to a vm most of the time for me (and to the "real" servers that I work with daily)
