I find that 55 really does feel slow . . but 58 not as much. Try it out and tell us about it (conditions, rpms, etc). Have you actually scaled that truck with driver, full fuel and the usual junk on board? And, hey, a pic or two!
I could probably fill up out of town after the truck has achieved full 30-mile warmup and drive a long low-traffic/low-wind route and nearly break 30 mpg. Mine also outweighs yours by more than a ton. I know I'd like to see what a 1st Gen can really do!
