I bought a couple several months ago and have had similar results as stated above. They fix desulphation- but real problems(shorts, etc...) can't be fixed.... I don't know of the particular model the op showed- but many have great features(short protection, polarity protection, autoshutoff, etc...). Great devices- mine have easily paid for themselves with many car batteries and motorcycle batteries....
