The issue with Public transport in the UK.. SHOCKING!

so myself and 2 mates are off to see a friend in Nottingham..

its a 600 mile round trip from Glasgow.

below is a costing for the trip:

in my 318iS

Fuel = £91.68 ($147) based on 38uk mpg at £1.279 a litre ($2.06)

Road tax is £112 for 6 months, so 3 days equals £1.85

Mot is £52 per year, so is equal to £0.42

Full service is £45 every 7000 miles (2x services a year) equal to £0.74

Tyres are £208 (4x Toyo CF from camskill.co.uk in 205/60/15) every 30k miles (2 years) equal to £0.85

Brake disks and pads £94 every 30k miles (2 years) equal to £0.39

Insurance is £1000 per year (I have a trade policy) so that’s equal to £8.22

Car cost £500 and will be covered over a year so thats £4.11

Total cost is £108.26 for 3..

Looking for train tickets last sunday gave us a cost of £114 EACH,

Total cost £342
