Festiva Alternator Delete.

well i just picked up two brand new DEKA marine deep cycle batteries at the Canton performance swap meet here in Ohio Saturday for stupid cheap. so i can finally make my little marshmallow alternator-less. now my plan is to have my regular starter battery designated only for the starter on a separate circuit from the rest of the electronics. and the two deep cells are going to be for the lights ignition and what not. the deep cells and the starter battery will be plug in charged. there will be two different chargers, one for the starter battery and one for the deep cells. now since this is my first time doing this is there anyone who can point me in the right way? i know that the car's electronics run at around 13 to 14 volts since the alternator keeps charging so could i double up the deep cells to 24V then put a DC to DC inverter to drop it down to 14V or so? as you can see im stumped with alot of things. please help
