Seriously never needed anything but a small FWD in illinois, though there are plenty of 4wds in the ditches when it snows, but small car handling and agility is best on slippery (handbrake is fun too). The %0.1 percent of days where the snow is actually too deep for me (and well past being to deep for normal people), I can dial in. Not worth increasing my annual fuel bill from $1000 to $3000.
