What happened to Obama's campaign promises? Here's a quote from his old speech:
"There's a reason that some have compared the quest for energy independence to the Manhattan Project or the Apollo moon landing. Like those historic efforts, moving away from an oil economy is a major challenge that will require a sustained national commitment.... Nice speech, but the first few paragraphs appear to be written by Oil lobbyist. Then a good plug for our buddies over at ADM. Sorry for the cynicism but the US has been talking this same tune for 30 years, while the rest of the world gets the real energy saving technology.
More of the same from what I see.
