With some of the crazy looking crap already in my car, I think the TSA would have plenty to work with.

On the back of the vest there is a single big pocket, maybe 10"x10" in size. To make that work, I think I would need a big "soft" cold pack, like those used for injuries. To use the "little jug" cold packs, I would need some kind of surrounding foam to keep them away from my spinal cord. But, in an accident, I would probably be injured by them, so I am wary of "hard" cold packs on my back.

I need to have some really hot days to see if it performs well enough to make the back unimportant (maybe a fat chance, but I need to find out). Otherwise I may try the seat bead option.
