The first thing i'm impressed with is driving two large motors. In theory , the very low inductance might cause problems with the response of the pi loop in the micro. Glad to see it worked ok for you. I'm running two motors in the motorcycle so its nice to know. What traction voltage were you running? Did the heatsink get warm? Was the scope on the gate emitter? If so thats one text book waveform you got there
You might crank up the time base and zoom in on the switch off tail to see if it is ringing.
