shops can vary drastically, but you can get a good tint job usually between 200 - 350 usually with the two largest factors being the size of the windows and the complexity (curves). another factor with price is how many shops are in the area, when i lived in florida i could get the windows on my trans am tinted between 175 - 275 so there are a few factors. when looking at shops also ask about the warranties on the tint, most shops provide warranties against the tint fading, peeling, and bubbling.

DPoV, your post reminded me of the electric tint, you put a current through it and it darkens (similar technology to auto dimming welding helmets) not sure what the tint is called or the availability but it is awesome..
