What about adding a battery current/voltage monitor? I.e. for EV's and hybrids (or folks who want to watch their 12v battery)?
Is there a cost effective hall-effect solution for current? How hard could it be to get a custom clamp (ziptie) inductor made for one?
Is buying (or building) and operating a shunt a hardship?
