3 months with my 318iS= Consistently Great MPG!

I've just put all the costs for my 318iS into sprintmonitor.de..

The car has been on the road since 1st February 2011, and replaced my Saab 9-3..

So far I've covered 5472 miles, and used 134 UK Gallons..

that's 40.8 UK MPG including a trackday

Including the purchase cost of the car and Tax, the total running costs come out at

£0.26 per mile

meaning my daily commute costs me £13 for 50 miles.

taking off the purchase price and tax (car was bought outright and is old enough not to be affected by depreciation) makes my daily commute

£7 return.

This is £2.50 LESS than the train would cost to get there.. so I save £12.50 a week, PLUS about 8hrs travel time

Gawd bless Ecomodder

Now i'm onto my e30 320i, and initial results are promising- my good lady has taken over the iS and is being pestered to continue hypermiling
