Currently the car is running tyres at 40psi

As for techniques I do the following:

When car is cold in mornings/at hometime- keep the car in gear as much as possible, and use "firmer" acceleration to help it heat up asap

Engine braking with DFCO to junctions or if the traffic is slowing

Above 35mph, use 5th at 20mpg on the consumption indicator for acceleration- moves it up the road, but doesnt use too much fuel

On the Motorway (where it spends most of its time)

I use P& e(on) glide. Going from 70-55mph if the traffic allows. This seems to allow me to follow trucks doing 60 at a safe distance. If traffic is heavy, I'll drop to a 60-45mph setup

Switch it off if sitting in traffic

In town- lots of P& e(on) glide- it'll roll for ages between 30 and 25mph this may be due to the Wanli and Runway tyres it's shod with

Car has no aero mods.

Hoping to get a WAI and possibly an under tray on it this summer

I reckon 45mpg should be achieveable, even after its 2nd trackday..

Also, I may possibly service the bloody thing
