No, the brown paper is more pulpy and fibrous, and it "sheds" fibers that can get into your paint job. White paper is less pulpy and fibrous and dosen't shed.

I have some updated pics today. I FINALLY got the car painted. I have a pic here of the car with just the PPG Envirobase waterborne base coat, a pic of the car all finished outside, and I threw in a pic of the front bumper, which I painted some time ago, but worked on the "piano finish" today, which is just sanding the clear flat and buffing it out so you have a glass smooth clear surface that looks like a show car. Not sure it shows up in the photo though.

PPG Envirobase (waterborne) basecoat. It's a GM formula they call Victory Red. Applied with Iwata LPH-400 LV-X;

PPG Deltron DC4010 Clearcoat, applied with Sata RP3000 Digital;

Sanded flush with 3M 1500 grit dry on a DA sander, then sanded wet with 3000 grit 3M Trizact. Polished out with 3M Perfect it Compound with the white foam pad, then 3M Perfect it Swirl Mark Remover with the black foam pad. 1 coat of 3M liquid wax;
