I am disappointed with the video cameras I bought -- 3 out of 4 have failed or is intermittent. I'm trying some different units:
Amazon.com: Pyle PLCM24IR Universal Mount Infrared Commercial Grade Rear View Backup Camera: Electronics
I am also going to try some new monitors, that have LED backlighting.
Amazon.com: Power Acoustik PT-712IR TFT-LCD Digital LED Backlit 7" Slim Line Video Monitor for Headrests with Built in Dual Channel IR Transmitter for Headphones: Electronics
The cameras are even wider angle (130d vs 110d on my current ones) which is not necessarily a good thing. But if they are more robust and if they have more "F-stops" and handle bright sunlight better, then I'll be happy.
The monitors are headrest models, so I hope I can reuse the stands I have to mount them on my dash. I looked for a long time yesterday to try and find information or a picture of the *back* of the monitors...
