1989 -1993 Mustang 5.0 LX with a stick. '89 is the best choice, last year without airbags and first year of mass air F.I.. Under 3000 pounds in street trim is achieveable. Throw on some 15x3.5 Weld Draglight frontrunners and some 15x7s in the back, yank the front sway bar, underdrive pullies, 3:55 gears, electric fan. You will have a 13 second car that gets decent mileage, is reliable, and easy to work on. I have a few of them, and just traded a Camaro rear diff for this '89 shell, no motor no trans but I have all that stuff. It will be fun to see what kind of MPGs I can get out of it on the way to the race track.
