If I decided to, prolly. The biggest concern is dealing with reads/writes, since they will kill the CF card prematurely, so swap needs to be disabled, and certain changes, like software updates, may need to be stored in ram and written on shutdown, although I think those would be o.k as long as I didn't update too often. The best thing is that there should be a significant speed increase on boot/launching programs, which is great for a laptop.
