Mpg on a standard Skoda Octavia

Hello,

I have a similar experience: got my best trip from door to door from one city to another and back, about 67 mpg.

Best complete tank is a very different issue, as there are city short travels, traffic boxes, stops and all these. My best tank is about 57 mpg.

Skoda Octavia I drive is a 2009 1.9 TDI, almost standard. I have made two mods though: install a grill cover and take out rear wheels mud protectors. That is it, no mechanic mod at all.

Driving speed for my best trip of 67 mpg was at 90-100 km/h but mainly 90 km/h. Almost all the way on a high speed road, with a stop on destination Santiago city for a meeting.

Full tank mean lifetime mpg is 50.6 mpg so far.

THese cars are so efficient, that there is little room for improve them. However, I have a steady improvement due to better driving habits.

Congratulations for yr car!
