I used gorilla tape cause it is black and my original grill is black. It looks alright. And it only heats up on long trips. Right now I have a gap the size of a softball in the bottom grill. When i have short commutes i cover the gap up. On short trips you want the engine to heat up quickly. On long trips it can be your worst enemy.
A grill block defenitely improves fuel effeciency and warm up time.
