I realize I don't have the humidity factor that you guys back east have. I remember well though, having 11 yrs. in NC under my belt.

My thing for the fan is because it is cooling my neck, which will in turn keep my back drier. Maybe cooling ISN'T the right word, but CIRCILATING air helps relieve the feeling that you are locked in an oven.

My KEY thing is position of the fan. When it is behind me, it is not blowing into my eyes, eventually drying, and making them tired prematurely. When anything at any temp., blows right at you; it will eventually wear you down on a long trip.
I'd love to see one of you describing an application where you've rerouted your air conditioning so that it blows forward from say the back window area.
