An X 1/9? How do you make it overheat with an electric conversion?
(I had a good friend that with an X1/9. Despite years of working on it and intense love, it couldn't go more than a few miles without overheating. He loyally kept the registration current, confident that it was almost ready, just one fix away, for daily driving. It's a good looking car, and turning it into a short-range EV could only be an improvement.)
