they probably run the oil through a LOP (Lube Oil Purifier, Centrifugal Fuel and Lube Oil Purifiers : Oil Separator : Alfa Laval : Separation Equipment Company, Inc. ) to get all the crud out, and then add chemicals as required to get the oil back to normal limits.
