Yea, I thought about that....i may start using 3rd, but at 65mph I would be turning 5000 rpm. in fourth I'm at 3900 and its recommended to keep the motor between 2 and 4k for proper cooling and optimal efficiency. my ammeter is pretty cheap though so I'm going to get a laptop hooked up to the controller today hopefully. Using the torque spec of the motor and the current a rough estimate of the power while cruising is around 30hp which seems way too high because based on what i put back into the batteries it shouldn't be more than about 15kw or maybe a little more.....
