After my last post where I talked about window film lowering temps in the car, I sucked it up and had film applied to all the glass on my Rio. The windscreen was done in an almost completely clear film, where everything else was done in the least-darkening tint.
As for the effectiveness, I can say that now my left ear does not scorch quite as much when the sun comes in the side window. Of course, a bigger factory sun visor {or one that had a little slide out extension} would have been a lot cheaper}.
