MetroMPG -- a "quick & dirty" empirical equation for estimating MPG vs. MPH is:

MPG = CONSTANT / MPH

...where: CONSTANT = (40mph*mpg + 50mph*mpg + 60mph*mpg)/3

...which is basically: CONSTANT = MPG × MPH...a constant "product" equation.
