Nankang tires are made in Taiwan and I have never used them but from looking at their web site I would guess that they are bottom of the barrel tires, if they were all that you could get then you might check at some junk yards and see if they had some used tires of another brand to sell you.

Yokohama tires on the other hand are supposed to be really good, made in Japan, decent snow tires, I think they make some good low rolling resistance tires as well.

These might not be the top of the line Yokohama's but they should work.
