Illinois announces electric cars but can't pay bills

Illinois is strapped with huge deficits and annually tries to balance it's budget on the backs of health care providers, some waiting over 6 months to get paid.

In the mean time the state government is funding construction of refueling stations and gives rebates for buyers of electric cars in Chicago.

Tax payers downstate contribute to another Chicago scheme with no benefits.

Electricity for Chicago is mainly provided by coal fired plants that are located in central Illinois. Contributing to downstate pollution.
