Public charging stations hardly ever get used, why? because people charge at home and at work, just like public cell phone charging is not needed.
Sure, give incentives for people to buy electric cars, but don't waste public money on something that isn't going to get used.
As for folks not getting paid, that is not a transportation related issue, that is an issue with health insurance being a for profit business that doesn't like to pay it's bills, my state run health insurance costs $1,500 a year and gives amazing coverage, I could pay a for profit 5 times that and still have less coverage, but the health insurance industry has convinced most of us that we don't want state run health care even tho it works, it's great and it's cheap.
But as I already said, this form is about transportation, not health care.
I drive an EV and I think that AAA is going to find out that their mobile charging trucks never get used and that people driving EV's are only going to use public charging if it's free and if it gets them a better parking spot.
