You're right on with that! They say that one of the signs of maturity is learning to delay pleasure. Frugality isn't for people who think short term. You have to be disciplined enough to be in it for the long haul. Living on $700/mo wasn't all that fun. But later, when I graduated and didn't have a ton of student loans, and made almost 10 times that...now THAT was fun!
