A junior has now hit his teenage years I think - he is 10.
We have adopted a work share at home, jobs we all do around the house. despite being a bloke I know how to operate a washing machine and a drier. And I do all the ironing. On top of this I can MIG weld (badly). New man me.
However when washing I object to having to frisk the clothes for things in the pocket or having to split underwear from trousers or turning things from inside-out. Oh and there is a washing basket where the dirty stuff has to go. Its in the spare bedroom, 10ft away from the other ones.
So it was a great joy this morning to find A-Junior's weekly school clothes carefully placed in a pile under his bed, completely knotted up and wth pockets bulging full of washing machine or drier breaking Lego Star Wars minifigures.
He wasn't happy about being banned from pretty much everything today - no TV, no Wii, no DS, no games at all, no friends round, no swimming, nothing. Instead he is enjoying a session of learning how to hoover, and finding out what his toy room (aka our sun room) looks like when tidy - tidier than it has been since it was built.
