I think I've found the right fastening system fer my soft ducktail...

It's a porch screen track...got the 1½" wide track from Home Depot. I'll be using some of the VHB tape that dkruitz sent me to secure the track to the cap roof. Unfortunately, I didn't bring it with me so I'll have to build that setup when I git back home. I should be able to use the screen spline to keep the material from disconnecting from the cab as well as replace the material when needed.

Added in a gutter guard on the front edge of the aero cap...the gap off the hatch is about 2" closer now to the cab and just about even with the top edge of the sides. This will make it an easier platform to work from.

Added in some foam pieces on the front edge of the side to close up that gap. I've only got it taped in with Gorilla tape fer now but on both sides. We'll see how well it performs over the long run.
