Hi, I live in Thailand where E10 is the most common fuel. Manufacturers of flex-fuel cars such as the Chevrolet Captiva all claim E85 to give 40% less mileage. E85 gives lower mileage as ethanol is less energy dense than gasoline; I was surprised to read that your Escalade had better towing MPG on E85, I can't explain that.
