"Welcome aboard"

Ironically, I tried the samething w-a-y back in 1973-'74 (HIPO to SIPPO) with somewhat "...less than planned..." results.

My 1970½ Plymouth AAR 'Cuda 340/BBL was getting about 10-12 mpg when the "first" OPEC "oil embargo" occurred, so Mr. Automotive-Einstein here decided to *lean* things out by driving with only the center 2BBL carburetor 'working.' Did so, by interrupting the vacuum lines to the front and rear 2BBL carburetors.

Well, the "good news" was that highway milage got up to 16.1 mpg @ 55 mph (best), while the "bad news" was that it eventually burnt four exhaust values in the process...ie: half of the them!

Moral-of-the-story? Always be aware of possible "Unintended Negative Consequences"!!!!!
