Video how to drive long down hills. Here is my video how to drive in long down hills:

That is not the best way:

1. Best is to use EOC
2. Second best is to use engine braking behind that truck. My aero was not good enough for that technigue in that downhill. To be able to do that you would need steep downhill or low CD, or just draft very close to the truck (not wise). Any of the three would do the trick, if you have two of those its much easier. If there is no truck the gliding in neutral is more fuel efficient.
3. I believe the third best option is the one on the video. So try coast in neutral as much as possible. You can make push in the middle of the hill also to gain the truck there also, but you should always try to make the last push at the end of the slope while still being on the dowhill. First push on the top of the hill should be made like that you will be at the closest of the truck on the steepest angle of the hill. On the video I didint manage to too that and had to use techigue 3.
4. Keep the speed you were driving by applying little gas.
5. Keep the same gas position (fuel consumtion) and gain more speed in the downhill.

You should also try to match your speed so that you dont lose much speed on the downhill. I lost only 10 km/h speed on that 2 km long dowhill. Again better aero and you can glide higher speeds.

If you do P&G behind a truck you will get much longer gliding times. You should try to make your push in that manner than when you start gliding you are far away from the truck. You will start closing the truck and when you are at the safe distance of the truck 2-3 seconds whichever you prefer you start making more distance to the truck. When trucks in finland are driving avg speed of 85 km/h or 53 MPH I will do start push from 75 km/h and do it to about 95 km/h.

All comments are welcome. I know that I have done also some aerodifications, but the technigues should still be the same.
