Assuming 3 more minutes 1 way, it's an extra:

30min / week
1 day / year (24hrs)

That all adds up, and life is incredibly short. Considering how much of your time is spent on other obligations (work, eating, sleeping, etc), 1 whole day of free-time is very precious.

As much as I love driving, I hate commuting. People should give more consideration as to how they can reduce their commute time. This includes living closer to work, driving at off-peak traffic hours, choosing efficient routes...

I'll probably end up riding a bicycle to work, which will double my commute time to 30min. The extra hour spent per day is a lot, but that time will be spent accomplishing 2 things; commuting and exercising.
