I think I paid $11 for my tire pressure gauge from Napa, it's digital and keeps displaying the pressure after you take it off the tire, it is also warented to be accurate within 1psi.
I paid $15 from AAA (paid too much), but it was right before driving cross country

With harbor freight - my guidelines are... If I use it enough to break it, I need a good one... If it still works, I obviously don't use it enough to buy a good one That's putting precision etc. aside for things like a heat gun, quick connects, grinder etc. etc.
