I never had a traction problem with my 76 Palm Beach, but I also did not drive it in the snow or much off the road, it sure had a great ride with the torsion bar and air suspension though. The corrosion could be solved easily I think if building a frame off pick-up conversion out of one of these machines, and a belly pan would block off a lot of corners on the frame to catch salt and moisture.
