I usually try to buy enough groceries to last ~ 3 weeks. This means I almost fill a cart up. Which of course attracts the attention of the typical shopper with just a few things. But I only deal with them every 3 weeks or so. Sometimes difficult to get produce/fruit to last this long, but it is possible.

But you need to look for a grocery with the best prices and quality food. Major difference between stores.

A lot of people probably pay a significant % of food costs in gas costs....due to stopping for food too often.

Tried looking for online food shopping sources....no bargains there for sure.

So other than staples...food..and some basics...I buy online stuff and avoid the noid.
