Hypermiling with Lupo 3L at Helsinki city side streets. Techniques seen on the video:
- Lots of coasting in neutral
- Braking early to save momentum
- Timing traffic lights
- wacthing pedestrian lights
- Using the lane of least resistance
- Using race line
- P&G (push and glide)
- using the route which has less traffic
- DWB=drive without brakes
On the video I did not want to turn the engine off on the traffic lights. Generally if you are stopped over 7 seconds it saves fuel if you turn your engine off.

As you noticed the hypermiling is the fastest way to move in city driving. Always when you stop at traffic lights it takes time to start moving again when the lights change to green. If you are already moving more cars can go through the green lights.
