if it helps to reduce back pressure, would it be fuel efficient to use a sound-insulated leaf blower that has been rebuilt with metal parts so that there is no danger of plastic melting and burning? otherwise, is there a better type of vacuum system for the tailpipe, such as a small high powered durable metal fan at the end of the tailpipe and muffler? might be better to place it before the muffler so that its sound is neutralized. something like a steel bladed oven fan made to stand up to high temperatures might be ideal. then it would be just a matter of testing the device at different fan RPMs, and see how the electric power consumption balances out with any mpg gains that might be possible. because this may vary at different engine RPMs it may require some kind of computer load balancing program to run it efficiently. please excuse me if this is a stupid idea or if it has already been tried. (i guess i would like to know if it is used somewhere and/or if it was tried and found useless.)
